Swarovski Crystals Around the World – Focus on Austria

Austria may be one of Europe’s smallest countries, but it is also one of the most popular destinations in the world.

Hallstatt, traditional wooden village on a lake in Alps mountains, Austria, is UNESCO World Culture Heritage Site

Whether you’re traversing across its drawbridges or hiking up the Alps, the region’s roaring waters and crisp mountain air will greet you as if you were home.

The Green Giant

We’ll share a project celebrating this wonderful country tomorrow.

New Swarovski Crystal Electric LacquerPRO

The neon-like palette of the Crystal Electric LacquerPRO Family delivers a high-voltage sparkle like no other.
The inspiration comes from an exuberant tropical spectrum- a heightened sense of color that transforms the performer into a vibrant bird of paradise. It’s a strategy focused on ensuring that the dancer captures-and holds-an audience from the second they step into the spotlight. The aim is to drench the senses in color, exuberant prints, densely encrusted crystals, and materials that move. The result is phenomenal tactile designs.
The designs are mesmerizing. They bridge the gap between stage and judging panel with myriad new creative possibilities, enhancing a costume’s competitive advantage.

Be Yourself – Introducing Swarovski Fall/Winter 2019/20

Today Swarovski officially launches their latest collection.

Here is a brief look at the new innovations.

“When it comes to Swarovski’s innovations, our clients have always been among our biggest sources of inspiration. This season’s innovations express the desire for uniqueness. Individualism is a growing megatrend that is poised to impact the lifestyle of the future. More and more,  uniqueness, self-discovery and self-expression are becoming part of our DNA and a new measure of value in our society. Under the motto
“Be Yourself,” we have translated this desire into crystal innovations reflecting four aspects of self-discovery: “Check Yourself,”
“Find Yourself,” “Excess Yourself,” and “Dress Yourself”.

NEW CRYSTAL PEARL COLOR – Crystal Iridescent Tahitian Look Pearl

Swarovski Crystal Innovations & Inspirations for Spring/Summer 2019 “Wanderlust” Flags

Wanderlust includes four trend themes: “Culture” reflects the contemporary desire to add creativity and color to the everyday by using cities as urban backdrops for a more inclusive artistic expression, rather than traditional galleries. “Freedom” recalls the 70s “take it easy” surfer mantra, seeking calming sensorial experience as a counterbalance to frenetic living. “Adventure” speaks to the quest for solitude, expressed in nomadic, off-the-beaten-track travel, and a life more in tune with nature. “Leisure” celebrates the new inclusivity of the seafaring world: previously the preserve of the elite, yachting is now the emblem of “barefoot luxury”—using leisure time to sail off to the next secret destination.

When Swarovski launches a new collection it is showcased within a series of flags created by the trends office in Austria.  These flags feature some of the most unique and inspired applications.  Here are some wonderful ideas!

Add thick cords and sew crystals in place with embroidery threads.  Add pearls and shells too.

Layer die cut leathers and embellish with iron-on flat backs to create stunning floral motifs.

Create gardens in leather and add crystals and pearls for 3D enhancements.

Create your own patterns with iron-on crystals.

Layer cut fabrics with iron-on crystals and use pearls for focal points.

Crystal waves are gorgeous, as are shapes which are easily recognizable.

These lines are fluid and colourful with iron-on crystals.

Big crystals framed by iron-on shapes stand out and look incredible.

The color options in iron-on crystals are endless.  Pairing them with woven fabrics is gorgeous.

Large shapes are easy to spot when thin lines point directly to them in crystal.

Collaging with pearls, crystals and metal.  This scattering effect is brilliant.

Placing shaped iron-on crystals between laced elements is showing attention to detail.

Braided embroidery thread rope and crystal is inspired.

Layering with both leather and then beads, pearls, cabs and iron-on crystals.  Impactful!

Another simple but stunning effect.

All of these elements combine to create a fun look.  This would be gorgeous on a jean jacket.

New way to add stripes.

Floral elements that stop traffic.

On this sample, the tiny pearls look wonderful sewn as a cross or just at either end of the stone.

Here we see unique ways to add leather so it becomes a component.

This tiny fringe makes a pocket shape.

Embroidery is enhanced with crystal always!

This is a gorgeous idea for attaching two peices together.

Take a peek at how fabulous crystal looks on something simple like burlap.

These flowers are laser cut plastic.  They look spectacular with crystal additions.

Stunning haute couture style.

Crystals magnified with sequins as a background.

More braided fiber with crystals in a setting.  Wonderful.

There is no way you could not see these flags without getting one or several great ideas!!

WANDERLUST – INNOVATIONS AND INSPIRATIONS SPRING/SUMMER 2019

Majestic Blue

Intense and evocative, an homage to vast cobalt skies and fathomless sapphire seas, and the color of happy memories, Swarovski presents new Majestic Blue (296) as part of its Innovations Spring/Summer 2019.

Which design choices are best suited for Majestic Blue?

This superbly pure blue has a deeper hue and more intense sparkle than any previous shade of blue. It’s a mesmerizing quality that makes it ideal for use in premium costume jewelry, statement timepieces, and high-end apparel and accessories, as well as for adding a touch of luxe to DIY projects, packaging and electronics.

It is particularly well suited to creating fashionable looks inspired by Swarovski’s Spring/Summer 2019 trend theme, Wanderlust. This is a transformative Millennial mood that values Freedom, Leisure, Adventure and Culture above narrow-focused careerism and mere possessions. It also encourages following the open road, dreaming under the sky, and setting sail for adventure, preferring wealth of experience to material wealth.

What seperates Majestic Blue from other blue colors?

More intense, and with greater sparkle and depth than the existing Sapphire (206), Capri Blue (243) and Cobalt (369), the astonishingly brilliant Majestic Blue is the purest blue in the Swarovski spectrum. It has a scintillating presence that is reminiscent of a precious gemstone—indeed, as a true blue it has an ancient association with royalty. Blue is also recognized as the color of the divine and the infinite.

These vivid characteristics make it highly effective when creating bolder, fiercer and more eye-catching designs. Its color is very stable, too, appearing unchanged across different articles and geometries. You’ll also find that, like any of Swarovski’s crystal colors, Majestic Blue stands up well to plating and soldering.
