Before John Bead’s social media program began in earnest in 2011 we had a series of stunning jewelry and jeweled pieces created by one designer for the showroom. I for one have always been mesmerized by these huge beaded balls in the showroom.
Allow me to introduce you to Adela Kodonova. Her website is www.adelakodonova.cz.
“Adela Kodonova is a very successful Czech Fashion Jewellery designer. Adele started her designing career, with students from all over the world, at a renown specialize Artistic Glass School at Zelezny Brod, Czech Republic followed by studying at the Faculty of Design at the University of Liberec, Czech Republic. After graduating, she became a member of Fashion Jewellery designing team of Jablonex Group, Czech largest Fashion Jewellery and Bead manufacturing and exporting company.
During almost ten years of working in the world of Fashion Jewellery, Adela has been a co-author of many seasonal and specialized sample collections and an author of many Fashion Show designs presented by Jablonex Group in many countries of the world, including Canada.”
At our last showroom event I met with Adela who showed me some of her work in the showroom. I was so pleased that she was willing to share some thoughts and inspiration on the pieces many of you see each time you visit John Bead in person. For those of you who have never been to the showroom I can now give you a glimpse at some of our wonderful showroom samples.
Adela shared a photo of her table as she crafted these art pieces. She wrote:
“My goal was to create a different style of advertising for beads from the Czech Republic. Not just nice colors strung one by one. I wanted to push customers to see there is more than just jewellery to be made and encouraged them to think about more complex ways to use the components.”
