The Project PDF is here: Contemporary Geometric Beadwork Triangle
Step into the world of Contemporary Geometric Beadwork with designer Danielle Wickes as she guides you through one of the most loved projects from Kate McKinnon’s open source beadwork movement: the peyote triangle.
In this one hour intermediate bead weaving class, you’ll learn how to create a striking geometric triangle using size 11/0 Miyuki Delica seed beads in turquoise, pearl, and gold. Danielle demonstrates each step of the even count peyote stitch, showing how the triangle grows row by row into its bold architectural shape.
You’ll also see how this versatile component can be finished into jewelry like linking it with wire and chain for a necklace or adapted into countless other designs. Along the way, you’ll pick up valuable tips on thread management, stepping up rounds, and color placement for maximum impact.
If you can make one triangle, you can join them to make even more fabulous shapes.
This class connects you with the worldwide Contemporary Geometric Beadwork community and invites you to keep exploring through the project’s online resources and publications.
