Lauren Quigley is back with a stitched beadwork project that fits in the palm of your hand. In this tutorial, she shows how to create a mini rainbow using Czech seed beads and a Loops and Threads mini embroidery hoop from Michaels. The finished piece can be turned into a pin, a pendant, or a keychain.

You’ll learn how to build each arc of the rainbow with size 11 seed beads, how to secure your stitches so they stay in place, and how to frame your design neatly in the hoop. Once your beading is complete, Lauren walks you through the final assembly using glue and a few simple tools.

Czech PermaLux beads have a smooth, silky finish and long-lasting color. They’re available at Michaels in 12 colors, in both matte and glossy options, so your stitched designs stay vibrant and beautiful. There are twenty four 11/0 options and twenty four 8/0 vials to choose from.
