Create your own beaded lizard using classic Czech seed beads and wire in this step by step tutorial from John Bead. This project from Lauren Quigley walks you through building the lizard body, legs, and tail using a simple wire technique that is beginner friendly and surprisingly satisfying.

You will learn how to start the body, add legs with clean tension, shape the belly pattern, and finish the piece so it can be worn or used. Once complete, your lizard can be turned into a charm, zipper pull, or keychain with the addition of a jump ring and clasp.

This is a great stash friendly project and a fun way to play with color. Try bold contrasts, classic greens, or smaller beads to create an alligator inspired look. Every lizard comes out with its own personality, which is half the fun.

This technique works beautifully with different bead colors and sizes.
