THE DIY THAT WILL TURN HEADS ALL SUMMER LONG
Craft meets couture in this show-stopping project by Lauren! You’re not just making sandals — you’re making a statement. In this easy, elegant tutorial, Lauren shows you how to transform simple raffia sandals into a sparkling, one-of-a-kind accessory using vibrant seed beads, shimmering crystals, and a whole lot of creative flair. Partnering with John Bead, she brings you a step-by-step guide to creating dainty beaded daisies and colorful patterns that will have everyone asking, “Where did you get those shoes?!”
Materials:
• variety of seed beads, acrylic beads, and GORGEOUS glass sew on crystals to make these raffia sandal pumps come to life- all from @johnbeadcorp. You can find a lot of their seed beads at @michaelsstores
• Miyuki Nylon beading thread (this color blended perfectly)
• beading needle
Tips! Use a pair of beading pliers to pull the needle through the raffia if you’re going through a tough area. Thread your tails back through the raffia a few times to secure. Want extra protection? Add a touch of clear beading glue under the beads with a precision tip. I didn’t do this because my beads felt really secure but you can just to be safe!
