In this project, you’ll learn how to embellish a simple foam flower using beads, sequins, and specialty threads. Nichole walks you through every step—from prepping your base, to stitching with seed beads, to layering color and texture for a dimensional finish.
What you’ll need:
A foam flower or something similar to embellish
Embroidery scissors and needles (various sizes)
Thread (Nichole uses John Bead Good Thread, Wonderfil Fruitti, and DMC Eco Vita)
Size 6 and 8 seed beads
Accent beads, sequins, and a bead kit of your choice
Optional: craft wire, awl, jewelry pliers
Acrylic paint, brushes, and a palette
