Step 1: Getting Started with Wire
We’ll start by cutting a 6-inch piece of 24-gauge wire and stringing on our beads in a precise pattern. You’ll see how we use crimp beads to secure the pearls and rivoli crystals. This step is essential for setting up the base of our earrings.
Step 2: Securing the Rivoli Crystals
Next, we’ll pass the wire through the rivoli crystal’s left and right sides, pulling it tight and forming a bend to center the wire. I’ll show you how to wrap the wire and trim it properly to ensure a clean, secure finish.
Step 3: Creating the Second Row
In this step, we cut another 5-inch piece of wire, string on more crimp beads and pearls, and pass the wire through the left side of the rivoli crystal. I’ll demonstrate how to wrap the wire behind the crystal, ensuring both sides of your earrings look symmetrical.
Step 4: Attaching the Ear Wire
We’ll finish up by adding the ear wire to the top of the earring and securing everything in place. You’ll see how easy it is to create a professional-looking earring from start to finish!
By the end of this tutorial, you’ll have mastered the basic techniques to create these beautiful earrings, which you can customize with different colors.
