This gorgeous new necklace from Debra Schwartz was created as a sample for John Bead. Debra was kind enough to share her supply list. We do not have a step by step but at least you can see all the items Debra used in her piece.
TRIOS Pendant Necklace PDF of supplies.
In the next few weeks, you will see a new John Bead advertisement in all the magazines we take a full page in.
The featured beads are in this statement necklace by Lena Gillespie.
She was challenged with one task. Show us how the four beads we are promoting this spring can look together. The beads shown are:
TRIOS Bead
BOW (TM)
Candy (TM)
We think Lena has single handedly brought spring to our company!
The birthstone for August is Peridot. It is the official stone of Egypt and is rumored to have been Cleopatra’s gem of choice.
In ancient times, it was believed that the Peridot was a gift of Mother Nature to celebrate the annual creation of a new world. It is thought to contain positive energy and healing properties, especially when gifted. Said to instill power, and influence through the wearing of it. A symbol of fame, dignity, and protection it is associated with spirituality and self-expression.
The green’s intensity and tint depends on the percentage of iron that is contained in the crystal structure. The color of individual peridot gems can vary from yellow, to olive, to brownish-green. A peridot is a gem-quality variety of the mineral olivine. It belongs to the forsterite-fayalite mineral series and is a 6.5-7 out of 10 on the Mohs hardness scale.
John Bead has a limited selection of semi precious peridot beads and chips. We do however, have over 500 items that are a peridot colour.
Looking to create some free spirit style jewelry this summer?
You might think I took a great deal of time to wire wrap a large number of turquoise pressed glass pieces for this long necklace/
I did not! We sell them already wrapped!
The fabulous pendant is part of our new statement peice collection.
To complete the look I created links with a number of left over metal and red beads from other projects.
Each peice is a showstopper.
Of course, I made a bracelet to match! This will be one of my summer 2017 go-to sets!
We have three unique strands of carved and naturally scented Thuja wood beads featuring Buddha as a single, double and triple face in our Aromatic Bead collection.
