Inspired by the popularity of reality shows like “Project Runway”, Accessories Magazine has joined forces with FIT (Fashion Institute of Technology) and Czech Crystal Manufacturer PRECIOSA to launch The ICE Crystal Jewelry Awards to celebrate innovation, creativity and excellence.
On December of 2013, top fashion jewelry industry experts granted 10 students from FIT with a mentorship. Designers had to create innovative and salable jewelry pieces inspired by Accessories Trend Forecasting. Six contestants made to the finals and 1st and 2nd places will be announced on May 7th during the FABB – Fashion Accessories Benefit Ball.
Regardless winning or not, the FIT students had an amazing opportunity to create jewelry sets showcasing crystal components by PRECIOSA, a brand that has been occupying the pages of top fashion magazines recently, acquiring an enormous visibility and recognition for its excellence and glamour.
