Love Bracelet: A Stunning DIY Project

Supplies You’ll Need
To complete this project, gather the following Delica beads and materials:
• Chart #A: DB-658 — 97 beads
• Chart #B: DB-42 — 92 beads
• Chart #C: DB-10 — 31 beads
• Chart #D: DB-200 — 362 beads
• Chart #E: DB-1371 — 97 beads
Other essentials:
• Good Thread (White Bonded)
• Size #10 Beading Needle
• Beading Loom
• Lobster Clasp and Jump Rings
• Thread Scissors
• .7mm Stretch Cord
• GS Hypo Cement Glue (optional)
Step-by-Step Instructions
1. Set Up Your Loom
Begin by setting up your loom according to the manufacturer’s instructions. For this bracelet, warp the loom with 8 warp threads using Good Thread.
2. Prepare the Weft Thread
Cut a 70” length of Good Thread for your weft. Leave a 15” tail and tie a double knot around the left-most warp thread, about a quarter of the way from the bottom bar.
3. Weave the Beads
• Pick up the beads for each row according to the pattern and charts above.
• Slide the beads down the thread and position them between the warp threads.
• Pass your needle back through the beads, keeping the needle above the warp threads, and pull tightly.
• Repeat row by row, following the pattern until you reach your desired bracelet length.
4. Finishing Touches
• Remove the bracelet from the loom and weave in the warp threads. Trim any excess.
• Using the remaining weft thread, create a loop of 6 beads from Chart #A on each end of the bracelet. Secure the loops by passing the thread through the beads three times, then weave in and trim.
5. Add the Clasp
• Attach a lobster clasp to one loop with a jump ring. Add a jump ring to the other loop.
6. Make Matching Stretch Bracelets
Use your leftover Delica beads from Charts A–E to create coordinating stretch bracelets. String the beads onto .7mm stretch cord, tie an overhand knot, and trim the excess. For added durability, apply a dot of GS Hypo Cement Glue to the knot (optional).
Tips for Success
• Any beading loom will work for this project.
• Keep in mind that 15 rows equal approximately 1 inch of bracelet length when using size 11/0 Delicas.
