Mark Montano brings back the classic necktie and wood bead necklace with a new twist—seed beads. In this updated tutorial, he transforms thrift store ties into handmade jewelry by sewing fabric tubes, filling them with wooden beads, and tying knots between each one. He finishes the look by stitching seed beads across the wooden beads to create a layered, textured effect.
This project combines vintage materials with modern detail. Mark also shares useful tips like making a DIY tube turner from a wire hanger and using a bead spinner to speed up the beading process.
