In this newest tutorial, Mark Montano explores seed bead micro mosaics made inside handmade tin can bezels, inspired by historic Roman micro mosaic jewelry. The project centers on Czech glass seed beads from John Bead, especially size 8 seed bead mixes, used alongside larger accent beads from Czech bead box mixes to build bold, graphic patterns. Seed beads are pressed directly into epoxy resin clay, section by section, allowing color blocking with metallic gold, silver lined blues, and rich reds for high impact results. The technique blends old world artistry with modern materials, showing how seed beads can move beyond stitching and become the surface, structure, and story of the design.
