This project features a gorgeous mix of materials from John Bead, including our sequin collection, brilliant 4mm Crystal Lane DIY beads, and sparkling crystal stones from one of our new bead boxes filled with crystal beads. By stacking sequins and crystals onto push pins and inserting them into the egg, you can easily build colorful floral patterns, organic designs, or completely random arrangements that glow with light and texture.
Lauren shares tips for creating sturdy designs, mixing different bead sizes, and experimenting with sequins to create layered dimension. The result is a stunning Easter ornament that can be displayed year after year. Once you start decorating, you may find yourself making a whole basket of them.
Supplies used include
- Styrofoam eggs
- John Bead sequins in assorted sizes and colors
- John Bead crystal bead box with glass stones
