Little House Tutorial: Little House Cylin Bead Pattern

Jayne Tokumi of Bead Crumbs has created a step by step beading project that walks you through building these charming little house earrings using our Cylin beads.

This one pulls you in as you go. The pattern starts simply, then suddenly the roof takes shape, the doorway appears, and you realize you are building something with real character, not just a repeat pattern.

What we like about this tutorial:
It is easy to follow, even if you are newer to structured beadwork
The finished piece has strong visual impact without being bulky
You can switch up the colors and create your own version of the “house”

Take your time with it. Enjoy the process. And do not be surprised if you end up making a whole neighborhood.

About the Designer

Jayne Tokumi is a creator from Hawaii with a knack for turning tiny stitches into tiny stories. Her bead patterns have gathered a loyal following because each one begins as her own hand drawn sketch and grows into a character you can wear or gift.

Jayne joins us with a bright new series of projects featuring our Cylin beads. Her style fits them beautifully. Playful. Precise. Full of personality. She tests every project herself which gives her work a real handmade spirit that people love.

She sells her patterns on Etsy where her designs have a devoted following. For John Bead, she is creating special projects that we are sharing at no cost and we hope makers will enjoy this little gift from her bench to theirs.

We are thrilled to welcome her and introduce her upcoming designs. Get ready for pieces that feel bright and joyful. Follow Jayne on Instagram @beadcrumbshawaii and see where she takes this next chapter with us.
